Learning account privacy
Public website pages, signup/sign-in pages and the fictional parent demo use Google Analytics to understand visits. We remove sensitive URL parameters and disable advertising signals in our tag. Private child, parent, teacher and admin pages are excluded. We do not send names, email addresses, payment details, learning records or password/verification tokens to Analytics.
Parents create and manage child accounts. We collect the parent’s name and email, the child’s first name or nickname, age group, username, learning progress, quiz attempts and payment references. We do not need a child’s email or date of birth. For live lessons we also store the assigned teacher, timetable, session status, join-button clicks, teacher-recorded attendance and feedback. Assigned teachers can view their children’ progress and session details; administrators can view all school accounts. Google Meet calls are provided by Google and open outside this portal. Joining may involve Google processing account, connection, audio and video information under its own policies. Join clicks do not establish that a child attended. Recording is not enabled or stored by this portal.
We also save unfinished child enrollments so parents can return to complete payment and submission. Draft child sign-ins are blocked until registration is submitted and the school approves paid access. We use this information to provide access, track participation and email progress reports to the parent. Optional weekend learning reminders can be turned off in the parent dashboard or through the unsubscribe link in a reminder. Videos are served directly by the school’s hosting provider. The school and its hosting provider process connection information to deliver the videos. Children should use the platform with parental guidance.
We use your M-Pesa phone number and payment request identifiers to process membership payments through Safaricom. Never enter your M-Pesa PIN on this website or upload balances, passwords or private school details. Passwords are stored as hashes. We also store account suspension status, internal support reasons and a record of account support actions. Reset links expire after one hour and are stored as token hashes. Child reset links are sent to their verified parent. Learning reports measure participation and basic knowledge checks, rather than a teacher’s assessment of mastery.
Contact info@thefuturefounderslab.org to request corrections, account deletion or help. Accounts and learning records are kept while the family uses the school. Parents can request closure and deletion; an administrator removes the child’s learning records using the account deletion controls. Payment references and administrator audit records are retained for reconciliation, with deleted child and parent identifiers removed. Existing backups may retain earlier records until the hosting backup cycle replaces them. Access is restricted to the child, their parent, their assigned teachers and school administrators according to their roles. Saved projects, teacher feedback and assessment results are private and are never published automatically.
